Personal:
My name is David Marcrum, I have lived in Cleveland, Ohio all my life. I volunteer with the Lutheran Church program called Science to Success in Belize. I work with three directors to help teach science and collaborate with lead teachers that teach science in Belize. I travel to Belize about twice a year, to help with teachers in the program teach science and to help their other colleagues make science fun and exciting learning experience for all teachers and students in Belize.
Family:
I have two brothers. One is 29 years old his name is William, and my other brother is 18 years old, his name is Matthew. My mom and dad have divorced when I was young. My father remarried and my mother did not. Last year, I lost my best friend, mentor, and father who was my grandfather. This was a big loss to our family and to me. My family culture is Hungarian; our family is quite big with five children my grandparents had and with total eight grandchildren me being the oldest. Our family is loud, crazy, and every time we see each other its a little piece of heaven.
Work:
I currently work at Daniel E. Morgan Elementary school as a kindergarten teacher for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. This is my second year teaching kindergarten. First year with CMSD. I am currently taking classes at Cleveland State University for my Masters in Curriculum Instruction with a Reading Endorsement. I will one semester left and will graduate in Spring of 2017. I am also the Assistant Hockey Director for the Mentor Mite Hockey Program and along with working at Dicks Sporting Goods part-time.
Education:
I have been going to school for about ten years. I received my Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education in Fall of 2011 from Cleveland State University. I am currently working on getting my masters in Curriculum and Instruction with a Reading Endorsement from Cleveland State University.
Interests:
I enjoy hockey, golfing, boxing, lifting weights(when I can) and music.
